What happened to June?
- Or, why I've been a terrible blogger for the past 30 days -
Hey everyone!  Sorry for taking the last month off, life has been a bit crazy this past month.  Also, sorry to disappoint, but this won't be one of my usual, hilarious, award-winning, genre-defining, paradigm-shifting blog posts.  Just a brief update on what has been sucking my life away lately!

Up first... the Kimchi Bandit!  A group of us English teachers decided it was high time we contribute something significant, awesome, and awesomely significant to the Korean education system.  With that in mind, we created a movie unlike any other our students had ever seen.  Explosions.  Laser guns.  Kimchi.  Bad acting.  Botched lines.  Sloppy use of the Korean language.  And SO MUCH MORE.

The first one we made wasn't so great.  If you really want to watch it, you can here.  Fair warning, it's a little boring, doesn't have any special effects, and leaves you hungry for more (like all good prequels should, I suppose.)  After that production, we decided to take things to the next level and create...
THE KIMCHI BANDIT 2: RED PEPPER'S REVENGE!
I know, right?  Pretty awesome.  Pretty breathtaking.  Pretty...educational?  Let's hope so.  We just finished filming the third one and it should be done in a week or so if you're eager to see how the series continues.  And, if you want to see another video we made for 6th grade, you can check out this one.

So... the Kimchi Bandit stole about half of my June and music projects robbed me of the other half.  At the beginning of June I joined a band out here (not a K-pop star yet, unfortunately), but we've had a weekly gig at a local bar and it's been pretty fun so far.  Plus we've been doing some recording as well, which you can check out here.

Or if you prefer your eyes to your ears (crazy talk, I know) here's our brand new music video!
Another rainy day indeed.  So, there you have it!  June in a nutshell!  I promise to get back to my regularly scheduled posts in the next week or so, but in the meantime, I hope you enjoy never ending search for the illusive Kimchi Bandit!  Adios!

Michael, You are a far better actor than you were at age 4 in the donut documentary. I was impressed by the special effects and prat falls. The music video was very good but the lyrics were a little repetitive. We could use some of that rain here. Thanks for another great blog. Love you

Seriously, I think I like the prequel better, although it is lacking the special effects. (And I like recognizing the locales!) The water vid was hilarious! The audio link was good: Great songs! And the music video could soon be an instant classic! Can't wait for the socks!
Love,
Dad

I think you are ready for primetime. Truly awesome!
Be careful celebrating the 4th. Hopefully you can explain to everybody why fireworks are necessary. Uncle Cal
